Hello, my name is Cindy,
I have been in the Nursing field for over 32 years.
I started Vision house because of just that a dream.I Quit my job and here I am. I Started out involved with another Housing assistance that did not work out. I have clients of vision house inc living here because of age or handicap. I am the Mother of Handicapped young Adult.
I knew I had made the right decision when I met my real sister working same type of work in north port she had been put up for adoption more than 35 years ago.(HI LISA ! ) I was placed in Foster care as A child and when I turned 18 years old began pulling Brothers and sisters out.
you see I was the oldest girl out of 8 children and it had always been my job (self appointed) to protect them.
I feel God wanted me to do this and the rewards are well worth the time and energy put into helping people find themselves and living a happy rewarding life. My life was very hard as A Child but I did not let it defeat me it made me strong !
Everyone has their own cause for why they are where they are in their life and
in order to change they need to let the past hurts go and not look back but use it to help others over their hurtles. now I am not saying if some one has done or is doing something clearly against the law to you or someone close you should let it slide do whatever it takes to see them charged and arrested.
I am very hard headed and I did not learn this over night I spent years letting the past rule me, some times I still do but not for long. once I forgave the past hurts and took control of my own life I found peace. My real Mother died of Cancer I stood by her and stayed with her until her last breathe of life was gone. I prayed to God to forgive her .
I have A Brother who chooses to be homeless I know you can not change anyone they have to change themselves. it's nice if someone is there that cares about you regardless.
